Infographic: The role of social media in recruitment
According to the sixth annual Social Recruiting Survey by Jobvite, 94% of the 1,600 recruiting and HR professionals surveyed plan to, or are already using, social media for recruitment purposes, with 65% using Facebook to vet potential candidates and 55% Twitter.
Interestingly, the way HR pros are using social for recruitment differs across the board. While LinkedIn is used to check professional experience, qualifications and hard skills, consumer-centric sites such as Facebook and Twitter are used to gauge criteria such as cultural fit and industry-related posts.
