Women are a key market for advertisers, no doubt about it. They account for 85% of all purchasing decisions and 60% of all personal wealth in the US, so brands want them on side. Alas, an astounding 91% of women say that advertisers don’t understand them. Not a surprise when so many companies insist on ploughing ahead with the ol’ pretty-cupcakes-on-Pinterest tact. 

Women’s relationship with social media is complex, but not beyond the realms of comprehension for marketers. Weber Shandwick has compiled a useful infographic to collate the wealth of data in this area, and to help marketers better understand this potentially lucrative audience. Take a look.
