Infographic: 98% of recruiters use social media to source job candidates
The role social is playing on the HR landscape is increasing, no doubt about it. We’ve seen examples of companies launching social-centric recruitment drives (not always successfully, mind), and more and more organizations taking advantage of social software and apps to fill their roles. Horror stories about job seekers being shunned because of their social escapades are being more common, too.
So we knew social was important for recruiters. A new infographic from Bullhorn shows just how much though, indicating that 98% of recruiters use social media for sourcing job candidates, up from 94% in 2011.
LinkedIn remains the preferred platform choice (97%), ahead of Facebook (51%) and Twitter (49%). According to the research, Facebook outshone Twitter when it came to producing high quality candidates, but more than one-third of recruiters said they plan on using Twitter more in 2013.
