Maytag #FAIL: Social Media Screw-Up No. 20

Submitted by on April 20, 2012 – 9:56 amNo Comment

Take one stressed out new mom with a massive Twitter following, add one bad customer service episode and you get Maytag’s iconic social media mistake. Maytag has since upped its game. It now actively monitors social media chatter for customer gripes, but only after learning a painful lesson about the importance of listening to customers before and after they’ve made a purchase.

Maytag is just one of the 50 companies we profile in our new book #FAIL. You can get the ebook for Kindle readers on Amazon UK and Amazon. For iBooks readers, you can find #Fail here. And where else? Nook is also available. And then there’s paperback and ePub format now available on Lulu too.
