Two developments to watch out for…
Qik, the mobile video broadcasting specialists, announced yesterday they will bring their video streaming service to the iPhone this summer. (Thanks to Mashable for the tip.) We were fortunate to have Mireia Fontbernat of Qik at Social Media Influence last week explaining to us some of the cool new features the video streaming company is developing. A number of SMI attendees shot video of the event using Qik, including an interview with Mireia conducted by Rob Andrews. You can find those clips here on our Qik page.
Secondly, I wanted to bring to your attention Twingly, a blog search engine that promises spam-free results. It had its official launch this week. It’s refreshing to see search results generate less (not exactly zero) spam. But what’s better is Twingly’s ranking system, giving you a better sense of just how influential each blogger is. I look forward to Twingly’s further work in this area.
